Wills and Inheritance
Have you
recently lost a loved one? Our most sincere condolences!
If you have recently lost a parent or relative and are executor or administrator of an estate, you are already having to deal with a very difficult and emotional situation.
Quite often we deal with translations of Wills that have not taken into consideration the differences between Greek and Australian Law. If your relative has not provided for a Greek Will to cover their Greek Estate, there will be matters that will need to be dealt with in Greece.
The first step would be for an Accredited Translator to translate your relative's Will. However, this translation will need to also be accepted and validated via a Court Procedure in Greece before any Greek property is released to the deceased estate.
There is a great deal of bureaucracy involved in claiming an Inheritance in Greece based on an Australian Will. It can also be a very expensive matter. Therefore, it is imperative that no mistakes are made as they may prove to be costly. We are familiar with the procedure and will be happy to provide you with our translation services throughout this process.
Please ask us how we can help you to communicate with a Lawyer in Greece or to translate and certify the Will. We will be able to help you through the whole procedure via our translation and interpreting service.
Proudly assisting Greeks & Australians in their communications!
