| Translations by | 1. What is the difference between translation and interpreting? Quite often people confuse translation with interpreting. To put it simply, interpreters speak while translators write. Interpreting is required whenever two people, who do not speak the same language, require a professional to explain to each of them what the other is saying. This professional is called an interpreter. Translating is required if you need a document that is written in one language to be reproduced in another language. You would then need to seek the services of a translator. Although these two professions seem similar, they are remotely different. It is rare that a translator is also an interpreter and vice versa. Please ask us if you are not clear regarding the type of professional you require in your dealings with Greece.
